In response to the devastation caused by the tsunami that struck Indonesia on 28, September 2018, we decided to bring aid to the local populations by getting on our bikes!
We will be packing our bags with hopes and happiness, travelling through Java and Sulawesi to raise funds and finance water filtering pumps for the population
We are teaming up with a dynamic Indonesian NGO that will help us reach our goal and bring durable change to the situation!
Embark on this adventure with us and follow us through Indonesia!

Enter Nusantara is a non-profit organisation that promotes renewable energies in Indonesia and animates the debate on climate change

Enter nusantara was a work project from Greenpeace indonesia and A.M.A.N, which proved its usefulness and became an independent and active actor in indonesia

Deeply affected by the tsunami on Sulawesi, Enter Nusantara initiated an emergency relief program, aiming at installing solar panels and water filtering pumps in the affected areas of Sulawesi (especially the Palu area)

Enter Nusantara welcomed our project with excitement and they will be our point of contact once in indonesia

I worked for a wooden furniture company in Jepara, Indonesia. I discovered the kindness of the Indonesian people but also the challenges facing the country
I felt personally affected by the tsunami, that is why I wanted to act for Palu
-Our adventure-
- WHERE WE WILL GO -
We will cycle our way through the islands of Java and Bali, then reach our final destination, Palu:

1, November 2018: After landing in Jakarta, we will try to get on the open road as fast as we can!
We will head South until we reach Bogor and its botanical gardens
-
From Bogor, we will go explore the megalithic site of Gunung Padang
-
Then following the coast, we will push East to discover the ancient imperial city of Yogyakarta
-
On our way to Bali, we will follow the tracks of Mata Hari in the city of Malang
Then, we will put our bikes to the test by ascending famous Mount Bromo, one the most stunning volcanoes in Indonesia!

When in Bali:
Once in Bali, we will we head to main city Denpasar and renew our visas for 30 more days in this beautiful country
Bali is the most touristic island in Indonesia,but also our GATEWAY TO PALU!

6, December 2018: Landing in Palu, Sulawesi
Palu will be the final destination of our trip
This is where we will join our partner, Enter Nusantara and work together to bring sustainable and clean water to the people of the Palu area!
